Catherine is the winner of the plate of fudge. Her guess turns out as being closest geographically to BOTH missions. Here's how everything panned out:
The calls did NOT come on Friday, like everyone thought they would. Instead, Sandy came over and we finished "Wives and Daughters". (By the by, the Elizabeth Gaskell DVD collection is on sale on amazon right now. Can we say early birthday present?? :)
The calls DID come on Saturday!! So, around 4:30pm, we drove up to the Wilding home, and saw this:
We all made final guesses, then Paul opened Sandy's call. Don't worry. He just opened the envelope, then Sandy read to us that she will be serving in the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission.
Then Paul opened his call, and read through it, then announced that he will be serving in the Peru Piura Mission. He literally trembled with emotion and excitement for several minutes afterwards.
Here they are, pouring over the words and details of their mission calls:
We are so excited for the both of you and know that you will be wonderful representatives of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the people you serve in those countries. Thank you for your examples!!

That's exciting news! My guesses were ever so slightly off...ha ha! =)
By the way, my birthday is in August so if you're wondering what to get me...um, I love Elizabeth Gaskell. =)
Have a good one.
Oooh, lucky Catherine!
I wasn't even on the right continent.
Great pictures, Becky.
And congratulations, Sandy and Paul! I'm so excited for you both!!
Thanks Becky! The guessing was so fun, and I love having these pictures!
Congratulations to Sandy and Paul--especially Paul! He's going to the best mission in the world. Piura will welcome you with open arms. You will love those sweet Peruvians.
